This isn't really meant to be a serious shared topic. I have absolutely no evidence that there really are more druid/hunter blogs than other types (though this seems to be the case from looking at the BA author intro forums). Basically my idea for this is to have people just come up with random/serious/funny reasons as to why there are so many hunters and druids who blog but not other classes. You could also give reasons why some classes don't blog, like, say... "Mages don't blog because they are vending machines, and everyone knows vending machines can't talk/write."

Editor's Edit: You could also consider this from the perspective of 'more people should blog about my class because'... feel free to take any Shared Topic and interpret it however you like!

There is much love amongst druids, I believe, for their class specifically and for other players of the class. (except in VoA, when it's *my* loot dammit)

But yeah I guess we kinda do blab a lot don't we. What gives?

Not sure as to why that is, but I do agree in seeing a trend in druid and hunter blogs. That's probably because both are so incredibly versatile. Druids can tank, melee DPS, ranged dps, and heal. Hunters, even though they are a pure DPS class, also have tons of pets to choose from and methods of play. I used to see a large amount of paladin blogs for similar reasons as druid ones, but not so much anymore. I think the gist of it is that some people don't want to pigeonhole themselves into namely one topic. The blog I started before this one was intended to be one focused on Death Knights, but I just found it hard to write about them and pretty much nothing but.

The odd trend to me is that WoW has so many class specific blogs at all. It's not something I've really seen with other games. There really are a lot of people who just want to read/write about their own class, and I think it's kind of a tribute to Blizzard's class design that there's so much to say about them!

agreed. it's really a testament to the work Blizzard put into the game that the information regarding one class alone can constitute the content of an entire blog.

I actually didn't see that this was going to be a topic when I wrote this on the 25th. Apparently I was getting the same impression!

It doesn't really answer why but it does comment on the abundance of RESTO druid blogs, to be even more specific. Also, its not meant to be taken too seriously at all!

I Think You Read Too Many Blogs

I think it greatly comes from influences such as Resto4Life or BRK.
They are some of the top class-specific blogs and surely inspired many druids and hunters.
