hmmm. I may be alone in this, since I keep reading how "bad" the LFG function of wow is, but I actually think It's not that bad, just badly used.
Granted, it could have some fix-ups here and there, but I really do believe the worst part of it, is it's lack of use.
If you're 70 (or close to it) chances are, you're in a Guild. The times you press the "I" key on your keyboard to access the LFG functions are slim to none! there's bound to be guildie willing to help out.
If you're pre-70 (and this is my main experience), especially if you're not in a guild yet, it helps out to go o the LFG screen, check out other players that are looking for dungeon runs like you are too, make yourself available to some dungeons, and even add the little comment to help out on sorting players.
Now, I know it could do with a couple tweaks, the auto-join is the worst. Getting a "random" group is just bad, I once ended up in a all-warrior pug, and I still got a laugh from it...
It could use with more functions, perhaps, to the Party leader, maybe an option to what classes are needed to the group (preventing spam messages on /4 LF1M ST DPS, ...) Filters are always nice, if you could check to see who and where candidates are willing to go, maybe it would be easier?
Of course, this all sticks to the notion, that to work, there needs to be activity, and (at least in my short experience) there's not that much activity on LFG screen. I see much more Spam on LFG channel, then on the screen itself.
To make my opinion Clearer: Windows is the biggest Operating system in the world, because of it's flawless performance, or because there's tons of users?
