I have been trying to get wowhead tooltips to work on my blog (runningelk.blogspot.com) and haven't been able to. I get the link, but not the tooltip. As an aside, my html knowledge is extremely limited.

If I put the <script...> at the top of the "edit html" page, it actually deletes it when it saves the page. If I put it at the top of the "compose page, it doesn't actually delete it, but the tooltips never pop up. The link works, but the tooltips don't. Of course, I haven't tried actually publishing the post. I just check the preview. It should be evident there if the tooltips work, right?

Has anyone had any experience like this with blogspot?

Elk

You don't want to put your javascript call literally at the top of your 'template'. In HTML, you want generally want page-wide scripts to be between your HEAD tags. So scroll down until you see "<head>" and put it somewhere after that and before the head closer tag, "</head>".

Hopefully, that will help.

Yours,
~Rhoe

thanks Rhoe, Apparently blogspot *does* run the script, just not on it's "preview". Once I published the post, it looks fine. Check it out and give me some feedback.

You'll find that scripts are normally not run on previews because they actually don't call your site template in blogger (or at least that's the way it was before I switched).

Works fine for me.

Code:
<body>
  <script src='http://www.wowhead.com/widgets/power.js' type='text/javascript'/>
  <div id='outer-wrapper'>

Also, if you add classes to your item links, you can color them.
http://blogazeroth.com/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=11

So for example

Code:
<a href="http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40702" class="q4">Rolfsen's Ripper</a>

That will make the item link purple to indicate the epic quality of the item.
