eCastingBar is similar to quartz, and in some aspects a lot more userfriendly.

I find quartz to be a horror to setup, much like x-perl ( /shudder )

Don't think ecb has that handy latency timer though.

Ah, doh.
Blizzard added serverside casting now though, so that's not very relevant anymore is it?

Just the /stopcasting part (for dpsers anyway?). Still helps to know when you can start button mashing for another cast.

oooh a good one there... what cant I live without huh?

it's the little ones that make the biggest difference I find... like Autoprofit (automatically selling all your greys), RatingBuster, Equipcompare, I think they're the 3 biggys for me, ones that make playing the game just a little easier.

Anything else is just cause I love fiddling around with mods! :)

Since I love addons so much, and love the utility they bring to my fingertips in game, I've decided to start a "Beneficial Addons" post.

Not sure how often I'll do it (bi-weekly or monthly), but I use so many addons that I consider essential, that I hope to shed some light for priest, healer, and officer/RL/GL specific mods, along with some other ones for people of all classes.

Here's my first post:
http://birkinsbrain.wordpress.com/2008/ ... y-trinity/

Tell me what you think.

I wrote a post with a list of addons I use just recently.

I also wrote another post about ArkInventory which I recently started using and really like.

At some point, when I have more time (haha!!!), I'd like to spend more time writing more posts about specific addons and hints/tips for using them.

I have been using addons for a very long time now and definitely agree that the Ace/Ace2/Ace3 addons are nice for their centralized libraries and WoWAceUpdater (FTW)...

Has anyone had a switchover in their Raiding groups from KTM to Omen? I've been trying to convince my guild to give it a try. I have been having issues lately with Omen not picking up data from KTM.. bleh...

Omen tracks threat on multiple mobs, whereas KTM doesn't. The only issue is that it doesn't distinguish between mobs with the same name. That's the only time it acts like KTM.

Bottom line, DO requires Omen in order to raid with us. It's that good. We have been using Omen for a long time now (Close to a year?).
