The possible/probable removal of Tree form could mean that this is our last ever Azeroth Arbor Day. I think we should most definitely go out with a bang this year.

I'd like as many Resto Druid bloggers to get involved (heck, even non-resto or non-Druid bloggers can help out, plug the day, etc etc). To begin with, I think we need some ideas. I'd ideally love to have something with a prize attached (whether it be randomly drawn from people who submit an image, or whatever) to encourage people to participate. So I guess we need -

- A blog willing to host the event. I am sure many of us will jump at the chance, but I for one want to promote the holy hell out of this, so a blog that can withstand immense amounts of traffic would be awesome.

- I think an in game march of solidarity for the trees would be wonderful on Arbor Day. Get everyone wearing green shirts, (or autumn colours as well, so orange, etc) etc etc etc. I am wary though of crashing a server... and I am not sure if this is really in the spirit, so it might be best being a separate event.

Any other ideas? Please tell! And please try to get as many of your tree friends involved as possible!

<3 Sar.

I'm happy to host on TBJ again - I had planned to post about it but I've been busy/sick. And the message was actually going to be "this might be our last year as trees" (since GC had hinted at a tree on CD). Sadly it came true :/

I don't have any particular ideas yet, but I'm happy to host - but only if nobody else wants to do it. Would be nice for someone else to have a turn, I only picked it up last year because Phae quit and I didn't want it to be skipped.

Feel free to use the images from last year's:

The big one is mine, the smaller ones are Phae's - she gave me permission to use them last year.

I would definitely like to get in on this! I have been way too inactive in the community lately. And, if this is what Blizzard thinks the resto druid community wants, perhaps there are a lot of other who have been too silent as well.

I am going to give this some serious thought and see what I can come up with.

Such a sad day for ToL druids everywhere!

I'm not a resto blogger, but I might switch one of my 80 druids over to a tree for a few days to express solidarity with you guys. I might never have specced into ToL, but I love you guys! It won't be the same without a tree running around in the back of the raid.

I'll stick my branches in as well :)

A Tree march sounds awesome! Although, we'd only be able to come along as baby druids if it wasn't our home server, wherever we chose to have it.

Anyway let me know what I can do to help.

I figure then we would have to have the march happen in the forests of Azeroth (Teldrassil, Ashenvale?, Terrokar certainly, etc.). Picking a server with high-levels to protect would make it easier to go to Terrokar and the like.

How about do it on Argent Dawn under the SAN banner? Seeing as there's already a large community of blogger alts there.

And make it a Vietnam-style protest march... "All we are saying, is give trees a chance", "Make Leaf Not War", "You Can't Hug Trees with Nuclear Arms" (ok that one makes no sense).

It would be really cool if we could have a real tree march... Alas, different servers will prevent this... but I like the SAN idea. I'd love to send in my photos too :D

But can I have a small request/idea to offer for discussion? I know it might be the last time we can celebrate in permanent tree form and all, but let's not just focus on that. I'm not very upset about that personally, I LOVE my caster form, so it would be a little weird for me to participate in something that *only* says "Goodbye tree form". I just plan to enjoy my little tree while she lasts, and then have fun with the Cataclysm changes. The reason I play my druid is HoT healing, *not* just tree form.
