I posted an article called Knowing your Tanks that outlines the differences between tanks for people who don't want to know too many details of a class they don't play. Unfortunately I don't really know what I am talking about most of the time. So I would like to make this a shared topic for all, if anyone is interested for any class. Write about what is important for others to know about your class and spec, without getting into class specifics or theorycrafting.

It's a conversation with you and someone who doesn't want to know your class specifics. They just want to know what they need to do when they are in a party or raid with you.

For example:

Tanks could highlight how easy or difficult they are to heal, how much initial or long term aggro they build, their essential specials abilities, or their tanking role.

Healers could highlight aggro dumping or lack of it, ability to deal with spike healing or overall healing and mana efficiency. Or anything else you value.

DPS could highlight aggro dumping, positioning, special abilities, or even how important their group buffs are.

It's up to you.

While this post doesn't cover all aspects of grouping with all shaman, these are by far my three biggest issues with groups - especially as a 'rare' alliance flavored shaman. (if you want more resto shaman specifics, I can send you there too, but this is more generic :) )

Things you should know about Shamans

Not quite sure how close it is, but I actually started a set of 3 posts covering Hunter specs, gemming, and enchants.

I wrote a post on this topic here. It was intended as a rebuttal to an earlier post by Pumra of Part Time Druid here.

My take on the three classes, tried to make it as low on technical detail as possible but still useful :P

I jumped a bit late on the bandwagon, but I have this as my topic for tomorrow. Due to lack of time I have written it already, but I haven't posted it yet. Will update this post with the link tomorrow, I want to post daily, you see?

All of Straight From the Cow's Lip was intended as such a resource. However, I've only actually completed Warlocks and Healadins. However, recent events have led me to write a much more general but personal article on being a better player when I realized that a number of my own guildies put so little time and thought into their characters that their talents are a hodge-podge.

I intend to get back to writing more about specific classes/specs, now that my life is back in a place where I have time for such things.

For me, this is a post-in-perpetual-progress.

A must have for any class.

Here's mine, kept it real short and sweet.

I figure, if someone doesn't want to know the intricacies of my class, I'll spell things out as simply as I can. :P
