Over the years, I have played the role as officer in many guild organizations, and as member in even more. The years passed by, until I realized that I have not once found a guild or a mild group of people with a firm standing upon leading the remainder of their clan. Now, I am no self-proclaimed expert on managing a group of people over the internet; I make quite my fair share of mistakes. I believe, however, that with the broad experiences in which I have encountered combined with the enlightened opinions from other successful guild officers, we’ll be able to finally put forth a respectable resource for guilds high and low.

A very interesting read. I enjoyed the article about officer types, and the one about how ranks influence your members made me think what message our guild may be sending to their members.

Always good when a blog makes you think about things

I just became an officer, so this is REALLY timely for me to find this! I've only skimmed the articles so far, but it looks like a great resource!

A huge thank you to both of you. Starting off this project, I had not found too many blogs for this subject, but now after I've gotten more involved in the blog community, I have found a few others who share the same interest. While trying to keep my content on a different level than the others, I find they are all great writers as well and I'm glad to be a part of the community.

I have a new contributor, Solanum, who's joined the team. Having a girl's perspective has been quite intriguing on things that I've generally taken for granted.

Curious, has anyone else ventured into a multi-authored blog? Benefits/Pitfalls?

Forum support added. Been contemplating a submission contest, has anyone tried anything of the such?

X copies of Cataclysm to be given to top 5 submissions on Y topic.

Was a former officer of a guild about a year ago and really wish I had this website then as it gives you a lot of information that is of great help to possibly even experienced officers.
