Does anyone have a lot of experience using these as a sideline to their main blog?

We use both for work, so I'm familiar with setting them up and running them (<3 RSS Graffiti app at Facebook), but I'm curious if these tend to boost reads and/or participation.

Any experiences with these, folks?

I have a twitter page, and it can be a good way to communicate with fellow bloggers/readers about thoughts and ideas "off the cuff." I'm not a big fan of facebook for blogging applications, so I don't know how successful bloggers are in that medium with connecting with their fan-base.

I use my personal Twitter, and use it for notifications when I make a new blog post, following and talking to other bloggers. But my Twitter is not exclusively for my blog, as I just use it for personal stuff as well. I have made a Facebook page, now sporting a whooping 20 members - but this is mostly friends who joined to show support, I think. There is probably just 3-4 people who doesn't know me in person But the Facebook page is there, "Just because I can"
