okayokay, first off, I'm posting this in the right place.. I think.
My mind is else where, as you can see from the following!:

Hey everyone! - to give the short version of my story; My guild alliance is going to be moving into SSC/TK/MAG soon.

This being the first time I've had to participate and transition a guild into a move like this.. well, I'm at a loss of how to do it entirely.

We're having a 'meeting' of the two guilds in charge of this movement later this week and I've put forth a few suggestions for us to look into.

Having seen quite a few of you have done this or are making movements towards doing this; any advice?

I've written a rather long entry (at gnometastic.wordpress.com) about it if any of you want to take a look at the items I've purposed and ideas I've thought of.

Thank you in advanced!

There ya go. I think that is quite possible the longest post I've ever written in terms of characters, words, and time spent.

Well, okay, maybe not time spent. That one was on personalities because it took me 8 hours to find the perfect photos.

My word, Matticus this is amazing.
combined with Karthis I think I'm just about set!

However, I will admit to you right now, I just skimmed. ;) Off a superbowl high (what a great game~) and too hyped up to really sit down and consume everything entirely, though I did get quite a bit read through.

Thank you, what a great post!

I would be open about it, Hyouzan. - something to the effect of; "Hey, I think this post by Matticus at worldofmatticus brings up some neat ideas we should consider applying this to our situation!"

This brings it to their attention, but doesn't tell them what to do.
Honesty is the best policy. :D

I always like "Obviously a bunch of this isn't relevant to our situation, but I got some useful stuff out of [link]". Then they'll go read it for themselves, if they get drama-ish about you implying they have problems there's the nice 'not all of it applies' disclaimer, and hopefully they'll read it with open minds and pick up their own lessons out of it.
