Planning on releasing a comic soon about this topic at hand, but thought i'd try
and up my contribution here a bit by posting a discussion thread, too-- Because in my opinion its a pretty diverse topic indeed.

Whats your World?...of Warcraft:
Basically, we all have important things in our lives, but also in World of Warcraft we prioitise certain aspects of the game over others- for example, I love PvP, but i do it a lot less than I do raiding-- whilst for others it can be the complete oposite way around.
The main element of World of Warcraft, in my immeidiate thoughts is;

-Pve(aka, raiding)
-Pvp(aka, battlegrounds, arena)
-Achievements(aka, Achievements)
-Giving Kromus Gold(aka..wait what?)

These are definately the things I first think of, as a person-- and its very likely now you'll be thinking "BUT WHAT, WHAT ABOUT....." and thats fine, thats what I want you to do, without the capslock of course.

What do you think is the main elements of WoW,and what do you think the minor elements are? (e.g talking, messing around).
Also just as a personal opinion what do you prefer to do most? Have you ever had conflicts between Pvp and Pve? I know occasionally
people have seen me wearing my PvE gear before i've had chance to change to my PvP gear and I've got some rather strange comments
about how PvE'rs should GTFO of WSG lmao.

I think I got the general idea of what you're after, so I will start off with:
-Alting
-Socialising

Two pretty major aspects for a lot of us I think. World of Warcraft wouldn't be the same without being able to socialise, it makes PvE and PvP a lot more fun. Leveling alts helps us to keep a bit of difference in the game, it becomes stale a lot faster if you only play one class.

Yeah, i agree-- a major portion of WoW is talking to people either to get a group going or just because you want to, which is why people even make wow blogs, to discuss World of Warcraft.

I do think alt'ing can be really fun too, but sometimes I just want to be level 80 so I can start doing instances

Indeed, I don't enjoy leveling as much as I used to, but still enough to do it. I suppose my thing is raiding, pet collecting, achievements and such.

For me, it's a lot. I raid on a character until they reach a point where, to me, they are geared enough and have seen enough, then I switch. In Burning Crusade, it was the tank, then the healer, and last the hunter. In Wrath, it was the healer, now the tank, and last, who knows? I have many up and coming characters. This is my world

I think I go out of my way to avoid settling into any one area of the game. If you asked me right this very moment, it would be:

• Alting (I'm trying to quit you, but you hurt so good.)
• Cooking/Fishing (My professional means of not actually playing the game.)
• Battlegrounds (Still the most fun you can have taking it in the face from a dozen strangers.)
• Mini-Pets (Again in the general theme of avoiding actual leveling.)
• Leveling (Had to be on here somewhere. I probably do it most, but want little to actually do with it.)
• 5-Man PUGs (Love them, hate them, wish I could actually do them regularly prior to 80. Looking forward to Battlegroup PUGing.)
• Raiding (Want to, can't yet, and am also horribly intimidated by the thought of it.)

Here's my list:

• Gold Making
• Achievements
• Exploring
• Conversing
• Flying
