I don't know about you guys, but as I've always used Wordpress I can't get into Blogger (I made a blog on my gmail account to see the interface /flail) but the one thing I've always liked about Blogger is the blogroll style. The top so many most recently updated blogs on your list, I've always been pretty jealous of that actually

If like me you're interested in that, I can recommend the 'WP Social Blogroll' plugin, basically does what I said above. I quite like having a huge blogroll on a page, and then the top 7 or so most updated blogs in my sidebar. It works quite nicely when everything's set up!

I was looking for something like this this very day. I downloaded the plugin called RSS Blogroll, added 10-12 druid blogs to it, and it crashed my site. I tried adding this, but it only showed the name of the blog, and on mouseover there was a classic popup with the name of the latest blog post. That wasn't really what I was looking for.

You can see it working properly on my blog, you need to play with the options a bit. The main thing, if you don't have the RSS links of the blogs you want in the blogroll then it isn't going to work. Play with the options, and the tabs, trust me, it definitely works

I got around it by using Google Readers feed option, as found in another thread. It updates automaticly, and while I can't get rid of that damn frame, it does what it has to

Actually you CAN get rid of the border etc. All you have to do is select "none" for the color.

I've been trying to get this to work on a wordpress.com hosted site for a little while now. Sadly, every time I hit save the text box clears. I'm thinking that wordpress no longer supports javascript if this used to work at all.

If anyone still has this working (or can get it working) on the free wordpress site; please let me know how you accomplished it, thanks!

Free wordpress hosting (username.wordpress.com) does not support Java Script. If it can't be done in plain text HTML, you can't touch it. On the bright side, this does prevent free blogs from getting bogged down with bots.

Tell me about it! For some reason, one of my posts seem to have some problem with my Captcha - spambots go straight through it, but only on very few of them.
